About This Program
In this year's festival at Harbourfront Centre, EnCello engages with the concept of the island not as a fixed geography, but as a fluid node within a network of sound. Through unseen currents, we explore how culture travels, transforms, and takes root.
Featuring our ensemble of seasoned professionals and rising students, this performance bridges mentorship, a diverse musical tapestry, and cultural exchange. Our journey spans the globe: from the wind-swept Scottish Highlands (The Gael, Skye Boat Song, Scotland The Brave), through bold cinematic landscapes (How to Train Your Dragon, Titanic, Cape No. 7), to the heart of Asian Favourites (New Endless Love, The Forgotten Time, Lukang, the little town).

Giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do. Some of our favourite performances happen far from the concert hall — like this afternoon with the residents of Presentation Manor, where our ensemble of seasoned professionals and rising students shared an hour of music spanning Baroque elegance, silver-screen classics, and singalong favourites everyone knows by heart.

About this Program
Inspired by the Year of the Horse, this cello program is about strength, instinct, and continuing to move forward — together.
Blending classical music, traditional melodies, and familiar pop songs, Brave the Wind invites you to simply sit down, listen, and enjoy the music.
At EnCello, musicians, apprentices, and students share the stage side by side — learning, performing, and growing together.
