About This Program

In this year's festival at Harbourfront Centre, EnCello engages with the concept of the island not as a fixed geography, but as a fluid node within a network of sound. Through unseen currents, we explore how culture travels, transforms, and takes root.

Featuring our ensemble of seasoned professionals and rising students, this performance bridges mentorship, a diverse musical tapestry, and cultural exchange. Our journey spans the globe: from the wind-swept Scottish Highlands (The Gael, Skye Boat Song, Scotland The Brave), through bold cinematic landscapes (How to Train Your Dragon, Titanic, Cape No. 7), to the heart of Asian Favourites (New Endless Love, The Forgotten Time, Lukang, the little town).
